Sensory Table for Eden Autism
This sensory table was created as a Boy Scout project for Eden Autism in central New Jersey. Designed with CAD modeling before construction, the table featured four interactive sections to provide sensory stimulation:
- Rotating Color Flaps – Panels with different textures and colors on each side.
- Xylophone – For auditory interaction and creative play.
Sliding Beads – Abacus-style beads on sturdy metal rods for tactile engagement.
- Rotating Container with Nuts – A cylindrical component that rotates, causing multiple metal nuts to slide and create sensory feedback through movement and sound.
The table combines creativity, engineering, and purpose to support sensory engagement for individuals with autism.
