In this project, students will design and build their own custom remote-controlled car from the ground up. They will start by learning the basics of computer-aided design (CAD) to model the car’s chassis and components, ensuring both functionality and style. Once the design is complete, they will move on to assembling the electronics, including the motor, battery, receiver, and speed controller, to bring the car to life. This project combines creativity with hands-on engineering, giving students practical experience in both mechanical design and electronic integration.
CADing and building a custom RC car
Students must possess intermediate to advanced CAD skills to design a functional and manufacturable chassis. A solid understanding of electronics, including wiring, motor control, and power management, is required.
